Butcher’s Bistro ~ A true passion for Cornish food

The Butchers Bistro opened its doors in March 2005 to fulfil a passion for food and cooking that the owners Chris and Mel have. Chris born in Lanner near Redruth, Cornwall grew up learning the importance of fresh food.

At the age of five Chris helped his parents grow vegetables, hunt for rabbits and day to day cooking. At the age of eight, Chris had his first job as a butcher and in 1999 after years of working with reputable local suppliers he opened his own business.

Mel the other owner was born in St. Neot, Cornwall and was raised in a farming environment, her parents would feed their family with all home grown produce, and this experience is evident in her suppliers. Mel’s first job was in her local village grocery shop, where her interest in the catering trade began.

Our philosophy is simple – fine fresh food, using local suppliers in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.
